Buy new satellite imagery of any location with new satellite tasking. Track satellite live overflight passes, then order new tasking satellite imagery directly on the map below.
Satellite tasking works differently from buying archive imagery. Instead of an image that already exists, you are requesting an on-demand satellite imagery capture, timed to one of our tasking satellites' upcoming orbit passes over your exact location.
Set your location in the tool below and it shows live EO satellite tracking for that point, so you can see the next predicted passes as soon as they are set, not a simulation. From there you can order new tasking directly, or scroll down to learn how the free pass notification works.

How New Satellite Tasking and Pass Notifications Work
New satellite tasking lets you buy new satellite imagery of any location by scheduling a fresh capture instead of searching an existing archive. The tool above combines that with live EO satellite tracking, so ordering and tracking happen in one place rather than two separate apps.
Set a location. Draw an area or enter a center point and size, the same AOI used for the tasking order itself.
See the next overflight passes. Each predicted pass lists which satellite and provider will be making it, calculated from live public orbit data rather than a delayed feed.
Choose exactly which passes to track. Tick only the passes you care about. Nothing is sent for passes you leave unticked, similar to filtering overflight notifications by satellite on a dedicated tracking app.
Get a free satellite pass notification. One email per pass you selected, never a repeat once it has been sent, with an unsubscribe link every time.
Order new tasking when you are ready. Use the same map to submit the request. Operator acceptance, cloud cover and satellite status still apply, since a predicted pass is not yet a booked capture.
New Tasking Satellite Imagery Pricing
Tasking costs more than archive imagery because a satellite is scheduled specifically for your request. These are the same tiers and rates shown on our pricing page, filtered to tasking only.

New Tasking By Industry
Task a Satellite for Your Industry
Every industry below can order a fresh, on-demand capture instead of relying on whatever the archive already has.
New Tasking For
Task a Fresh Capture for Urban Planning
Order a brand-new, up-to-date image of a growth corridor or infrastructure project instead of relying on an older archive scene, so your planning decisions are based on what the site looks like today.
Crop conditions change week to week, so instead of an archive image from months ago, task a new capture timed to the growth stage you actually need to assess.
A pit or stockpile changes daily, so task a fresh image around the exact date you need it, instead of waiting on whatever the archive happens to already hold.
Rather than waiting for the next scheduled archive pass, task a capture right when you need confirmation of a change on the ground, deforestation, a coastline shift or a flood extent.
Task Priority or Emergency Capture for Critical Assets
A pipeline or facility incident cannot wait for the archive to catch up. Task a priority or emergency capture and track exactly when a satellite will be overhead.
After a flood, fire or storm, the archive will not have what you need. Task emergency satellite capture and get a notification the moment a usable pass comes up.
Vegetation and terrain around a line or corridor change between archive passes. Task a fresh capture for the exact stretch and date you need inspected.
Satellite tasking means requesting a satellite capture a brand new image of a specific location, instead of buying an image that already exists in the archive. You draw the area on our satellite tasking platform, pick a resolution, and the request is scheduled against a real satellite’s upcoming orbit passes.
How do I track a satellite live over my location?
Set your location in the tool above, and the page shows the next few predicted overflight times for live EO satellite tracking, calculated from live public orbit data for our tasking satellites rather than a delayed or simulated feed.
How does the free satellite pass notification work?
Tick the exact passes you want an alert for from the list, add your email, and you will get exactly one email per pass you selected. Nothing is sent for passes you did not tick, and once a selected pass has been notified it is never repeated. It is free, and every email includes an unsubscribe link.
Which location do the pass alerts track?
Whichever area you currently have set on the map above, since the signup box does not have its own separate location field. It automatically uses the center point of your drawn or typed AOI at the moment you tick a pass.
Is the pass date guaranteed?
No, because it is a prediction based on current public orbit data rather than a booked capture. Cloud cover, operator acceptance, and satellite status can still change the outcome. Submitting a tasking order through the tool above is what actually schedules a capture attempt.
How much does new tasking satellite imagery cost?
Tasking rates run $2 to $90 per km² depending on resolution and urgency, so standard, priority or emergency, as shown in the pricing cards below, which match our pricing page exactly. Full volume-tier pricing and add-ons are there too.
How is this different from a satellite tracking app?
Apps like this typically only notify you when a satellite is overhead. We do that too, but since the same tool is also where you order the capture, seeing an upcoming pass and requesting new tasking for it happen in one place instead of two.
